Camera & Video Interface for Deep Sea & Underwater
Cameras that should be used in deep-sea environments must be attached to video transmission standards that can bridge vast distances, sometimes some kilometres. Very often block cameras are used in those markets since they have flexible zoom lenses, autofocus capabilities and a compact form factor.
Depending on the system architecture of the underwater system the camera control will be executed by satellite computing systems that are placed near the camera but in some cases the camera control system is some kilometres away, close to the monitor.
For both applications, we do have fiber transmission solutions. The TL7070 allow to connect block cameras to a fiber cable. On the receiver site, any fiber receiver can be used. We offer the TL7071 as a receiver to build a complete system.
Once the camera should be controlled over a large distance our TL7075/76 solutions offer using a single fiber cable for video transmission and offer a bidirectional camera communication channel.
