The system architecture of many existing Surveillance systems is based on older generation analogue SD cameras. Our AIVION analogue video interfaces do allow us to integrate state of the art digital HD block cameras into those existing installations. The advantage is that in a lot of cases the already installed cable infrastructure can be kept but the currently available camera models in the market can be used to upgrade or enlarge those systems.

Board Operation: TL7055
TL7055 operates fully automatic with respect to outputting video over SDI and analog YsPbPr. Sync is provided as SMPTE compliant tri level sync on the Y signal. The output video standard is defined by the video standard of the video signal source. TL7055 locks automatically to the signal source as long as the provided video format is supported (see page 1 for supported video modes). The video source is typically a block type camera or equivalent device providing digital 4:2:2/8bit per component video as 7:1 serialized data stream. This data stream is transmittted over 4 (single mode) or 8 (dual mode) LVDS channels from the video source and is received and demultiplexed by the video processor on TL7055. In all cases embedded sync (SAV/EAV) codes must be present in the LVDS data streams. In case of dual mode it must be present in both channels. In case of block type cameras, the respective camera register must be set correctly for single or dual LVDS output mode. TL7055 requires dual LVDS mode in case of 1080p60, 1080p59.94 or 1080p50 video. For all other video standards single LVDS must be choosen in the camera. When the video standard and/or the LVDS output mode is changed in the camera, TL7055 must get a power reset cycle to lock on the new system settings. Such a reset cycle can be achieved by switching power off and on again or by applying a reset to pin 5 of J2 (see page 2 for details). The camera (or video source) can be controlled over a transparent, full duplex data channel. TL7055 does not process or change any control data. The full duplex data channel can be accessed by the RS232 interface of TL7055.
Test Pattern Generator (TPG) mode:
TL7055 has an integrated test pattern generator which can be activated and deactivated by VISCA commands. Such settings are not permanently stored. That means every time power is switched off and on again, the TPG is not activated as default. TPG can be activated even when no camera or video source is present. TPG starts always with providing a 100% color bar pattern in 1080p60 mode. This can be changed by VISCA commands afterwards. The TPG is seen as a VISCA device using highest VISCA address 0x87. It is required to use a baud rate of 9600bps with 8N1 serial data configuration for TPG control. SL4655 is a small form factor analog YPbPr FHD video transmitter. Camera LVDS video input signals are demultiplexed, processed, converted to analog and output over 6pin board to wire connector.
Camera control is accomplished by a transparent full duplex communication channel. Physical interface between camera and camera controller / PC is based on RS232, 3.3V TTL or RS485(optional) level. TLCK-B5 cable kit is included and contains 30wire micro coaxial cable for connecting SL4655 to the camera as well as 10wire power supply and serial control cable harness and a 6wire cable harness for the video output.

Even in low-light environments, the high-performance 1/2.8-type Exmor CMOS image sensor achieves outstanding Full-HD (1920 x 1080) picture quality. Progressive scanning assures smoother pictures with reduced blur – ideal for capturing
the detail in moving images.
Get a steadier picture with the image stabilizer.
The camera's built-in image stabilizer function counters the effect of blurred, shaky images caused by low-frequency vibration. It is helpful for outdoor surveillance and traffic monitoring applications, mainly if the camera is used
on a bridge or mounting pole where it is subjected to wind or mechanical vibration.
Stable Zoom
Image stabilizer and optical/digital zoom are combined to improve image quality while maintaining the original horizontal viewing angle. This does not affect the image size and reduces blu.
2D/3D noise reduction
Advanced noise reduction technology filters noise from the image for clearer results, especially in low-light conditions. Noise reduction can be selected from five levels to suit a wide range of operating environments.
Wide dynamic range
Wide-D image processing technology allows one to see clear, detailed images in high-contrast or backlit environments. Models now support an extensive 130 dB dynamic range activated via the VISCA command.
De-fog
The de-fog feature allows more precise and natural viewing in foggy or misty scenes. The camera detects the haze level and automatically applies the required effects when this feature is activated. Depending on user requirements, the
level of these effects can be adjusted via the VISCA command.
HLC (High Light Compensation)
HLC technology helps to improve, for example, the visibility of license plates when bright headlights are shot under low-light conditions. The bright parts in the image are masked and compensated automatically to achieve better visibility.
Auto ICR (Auto IR-cut Filter Removal)
In low-light conditions, the camera automatically switches from Day to Night mode, removing the IR-cut filter to boost sensitivity for clear pictures in near-darkness. The spherical privacy zone masking feature enables areas of view
to be selectively masked for privacy. Masked areas are automatically interlocked with the camera’s pan/tilt/zoom movements.
Privacy Zone Masking
Privacy Zone Masking protects private objects and areas such as house windows, entrances, and exits within the camera’s range of vision but is not subject to surveillance. Privacy zones can be masked on the monitor to protect privacy.
