eVision Systems and dPict Imaging announces DP-810

Interface Module that Enables Real-Time 4K Video Encoding and Streaming from the Edge

dPict Imaging, headquartered in Indianapolis, USA, a designer and manufacturer of video acquisition technologies for OEM video solutions, announced the DP-810, a new product in the family of smart interface boards designed for 4K Sony Block cameras. The DP-810 is a low-power, low-latency, real-time, IP video encoding module. When connected to the Sony Block camera, it will encode, record, and transmit IP video as well as provide power and communication to the camera, making it a complete smart camera integration solution. With the addition of a small interface converter board, the DP-810 supports any camera with HDMI video output.

In addition, the processor on the DP-810 may be used for custom feature development and is capable of supporting edge processing applications including the running of inference (AI) models at the edge.

Features of the DP-810 include:
